Upon arriving in the area, we found parking to be insanely difficult. Which is strange, considering over 80% of the village condos were still available for sale. Each one is almost a million dollars a piece, The local newspapers had been saying a ton of negative things about the place. But you know what? it really is nice! there’s not much noise from the main roads and it really does feel like a small village, My daughter and I didn’t have to dodge cars or anything. 

The biggest reason I wanted to come visit though, was to take a look for myself just what is out here. Thing is, I can see all of this from my workplace and It didn’t seem right for me to not at least take a peek, even if it’s to see this giant bird here! let me tell you, If Sylvester had seen this bird he wouldn’t think about chasing after tweety bird again! oh no!

Just in case Sylvester tries though? right across the other side, there’s another one. I am very impressed by the details the artist put into his work, Kudos to the effort put in to make it look so life like. It looks brand new despite how it’s been over a year since it was installed, how’s that for craftsmanship huh?

Overall, As short as a visit as it was? it really is a nice place to visit sometime just to sit back and relax, it’s easy enough to get here since the skytrain system does stop here. I know this is a short post and I apologize since I’ve been really busy lately, But I hope you enjoyed the pictures ^_^

Don’t ask life to give you more time, Instead ask that you are given the chance to feel peace in your heart. Ever so gently she walked across the snow filled path..ever so softly her hair flowed along with the winter breeze..music surrounded her..Not of violin..Not of piano..but that of the human spirit..The joy laughters of children playing in the snow..she reached out to the falling snow and softly caught a snowflake in her gentle hand..There was a moment of peace in which time had stopped..She admired the beauty of something so small.. Yet..so full of beauty..Before it melted in her palm and glittered in the brightness of the day..In this moment..She understood..Life may be short..But it is beautiful and shines so brightly of spirit..We should cherish it..Like the children playing in the snow..Every moment is precious and we should make the best of it all..

Sometimes..love can feel like a delicate flower.. It you hold too tight..the leaves get crushed and it’s natural beauty is destroyed.. But if you hold it gently..the colors of its heart will reveal themselves to you..love..Is not about holding on to everything all at once..It is about watching something beautiful flourish into something so much more..

To ask for love in the hope it is granted..Is to ask for something without proof of existence..Love has no expectations..It is given freely without thought..without hesitation..It is something that exists before you even realize it..

The most special thing I find, upon arriving here is the fact that there’s no concrete pavement or rock laid walk way. What you see above, is the path that you follow along to get to whichever viewing point you would like to go.

This is my favourite spot, It’s in between several rocks that you hop over before finally sitting down. Don’t be fooled by how shallow the water looks, there’s even a bit of current that will toss you into the deep end. This nature’s swimming pool and I don’t believe swimming is allowed, I for one wouldn’t. This is a place where people come to admire nature’s beauty after all.

The further up you go towards the woods the calmer the water is, I wanted to show everyone how mother nature paints her world. The trees are incredibly vibrant in their colour, I could spend all day here just taking it in all in and taking pictures.

I know I’m going backwards, but remember the current I spoke of? well. Here it is, water flows much faster further down and it eventually comes down to a reservoir which powers the city through a place called Cleveland Dam. Coming up! in the next post, hope to see you there

Just like taking a picture, life isn’t meant to be always perfect. It takes the smallest details to keep it’s aim true, the details we tend to let go..

I love how they make the place so easy to find, especially with a bit of a retro feel to it. The real attraction though? is their tons of selections of cupcake, the most popular is of course red velvet cupcake and then the lemon, followed by the chocolate.

If you order a boxful, they place them into this nice package. They fit very nicely and maintains freshness in the fridge, If you’re in the area? I super recommend you hear on down for one of these delicious treats!
