  1. Netscape and Jim Clark were great stories. I worked with SGI, under Clark in the early years, and he had great foresight for the future. He saw the future was in desktop distributing, not big central computers. His board at SGI disagreed, and Clark went on to Netscape. SGI of course is long gone, having bet the farm on central computing, and losing badly.

    Clark’s vision was the future was not the internet, but easy access to it. Thus the hook up with Netscape. For a long time after that, Clark could do no wrong when it came to Tech and the future.

    • That must of been an incredible experience working with such a visionary, I often wondered what happened since windows 95 came out with their explorer browser, wow! :O
