The beauty in nature’s lessons

A few weeks ago, We found some roots in the back yard, They were standing on their own but we didn’t know exactly what they were. All we knew was that fall was coming and they wouldn’t have a chance to grow. So, weย placedย them inside an old potato salad bucket and hoped they would grow something. A few days later, with care and attention these grew. Indoors at that! I guess this is another one of nature’s lessons, that with patience? change is always possible. ๐Ÿ™‚ย

  1. Line from Jurassic Park (if memory serves, it’s in the book too): Life finds a way. Beautiful picture, Andy, and so nice of you to help that life along. What do you do now? Keep them indoors til spring?

      • Get yourself a grow light (or two) if you don’t have a good, sunny location indoors. We got a grow light for downstairs, b/c none of our windows get a great amount of light. We set it up on small card table and grew our tomatoes and such early, transplanting to the garden. There’s probably a university and/or botanical garden nearby you, and they might have a free helpline and Website that can help you identify the tree and how best to care for it. Good luck! ๐Ÿ™‚
