Dp Prompt ~ Lazy learners

Standard

Among the things I been too busy with many things to learn. I’d have to say that piano is the biggest one, I never really got around to it. Not for lack of trying though, I assure you.

I can type at 180 wpm , Speak Spanish, Mandarin, Hokkien fluently though if that counts? πŸ™‚

  1. Good grief, man, you are an amazing typist! Do you do dictation typing? (like $100/hr or what?) πŸ™‚ Sorry, Andy, but I can’t look at your post about the 900-foot glass bridge over the gorge. Swooning . . .

      • That’s a shame. Maybe a college or uni would have a sort of single-parent scholarship or something? Your talent, I think, would work well for close-captioning for the hearing impaired, too. Those folks have to type incredibly fast. I’ll be content to see the bridge from afar, Andy. There’s one in N.Carolina on Grandfather Mountain, too, that’s pretty high; I guess it’s still around. I never ‘did’ that one either, though I’ve done a chair-lift up a mountainside and other ferris wheels and such in the past. For me, I love to get places under my own power, hiking, walking, or whatnot.

      • I may consider the dictation, if the school provides the option for the loan, definitely need some real stable secure income doing something I enjoy πŸ™‚

      • Ah, but you do create music, Andy. Word- and image-music! πŸ™‚ But seriously, everyone can create music. Now, if you aim to be Chick Corea, Beethoven, Mozart, Satie, Thelonious Monk, or etc. on the piano, that’s a tough row to hoe! You should post a clip or something on here sometime that you play (unless you already have and I’ve missed that; if so, apologies). I’m like this with the drums; I really want to play, but then, here I am, as old as I am, in some ways, the moment has passed me by. Plus, I don’t have enough discipline. Anyway, rambling. Have a great Friday and weekend, Andy!

      • How about a rocking chair . . . ha-ha. Anyway, yeah, I dabble in the drums and love music of many genres. If I weren’t a writer, I’d probably be an (equally famous and rich) musician. πŸ™‚
